The covers of the passport of the Republic of Serbia are burgundy red, with text printed in UV ink. The coat of arms of the Republic of Serbia and text in Serbian and English are stamped in gold foil on the front cover.

The passport contains 32 pages, plus a polycarbonate sheet bound to the booklet with thread. The polycarbonate sheet contains an embedded chip.

The inside covers are made of security paper with embedded visible red and blue fibres, as well as invisible fibres that fluoresce red, blue and white under UV light.

The same fibres are embedded in the pages of the booklet. The pages also contain a 2.4 mm wide security thread bearing coloured text and the symbol of a cross with four firesteels. The black text is partially visible under IR light.

A centrally positioned multitone watermark depicting the White Angel appears in the paper, together with an electrotype watermark showing the page number and the outline of the angel’s halo.

All pages of the booklet have a see-through register at the bottom, as well as laser perforation.

The passport booklet’s design draws on motifs from medieval Serbia, and each page has a different design. The booklet is stitched with security thread that fluoresces red and blue under UV light.

The front of the polycarbonate data page is protected by a transparent security overlay featuring embossed elements, microtext, nanotext, iridescent ink and optically variable colours. A kinegram depicting the coat of arms of the Republic of Serbia, made from gold foil with a 3D effect, is applied to the reverse of the polycarbonate sheet.

All passport pages contain elements visible only under UV light.

Only the serial number on the first inside cover page is visible in daylight and under IR light; it also fluoresces under UV light. Part of the motif on the inside cover, printed using intaglio printing, is visible under IR light. The other inks used to print the passport booklet are not visible under IR light.

The text in the passport booklet is written in Serbian Cyrillic, English and French.

The security features and all materials used are the same for all passport types: ordinary, diplomatic and service.
