Our persistence in applying the motto “quality first” has enabled us to maintain the longstanding tradition of manufacturing banknotes, coins, high security products, including years of experience in the production of polycarbonate-based ID documents.
The process management model enables us to regularly review the achieved results, take risks, define action plans and improve our processes, all on the basis of continual monitoring of performances and process control points.
External certification bodies perform yearly checks of alignment of all ZIN’s processes with the stipulated standard requirements by conducting certification and supervisory audits.
Our quality management system has confirmed its compliance against ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System
Simultaneously with recertifying the Quality Management System, we have certified our Environmental Management System, thereby officially confirming the establishment of a system compliant with ISO 14001: 2015 requirements.
We have proven to be an environmentally conscious company which, in addition to focusing on customer satisfaction, also takes care of the environment. Our daily business operations and planning of future investment is performed in line with the principles of sustainable development, taking appropriate actions and procedures for controlling environmental aspects. We pay special attention to complying with applicable legislation and regularly informing competent ministries about imported chemicals and generated waste which either gets recycled or is handed over to a certified operator for further treatment. Waste management has been raised to the highest level, natural resources are used in a rational manner, industrial waste water is processed using the most modern procedures and continual staff education is resulting in increased awareness of the importance of reducing negative effects on water, air and soil.
ISO 14298 – Management of Security Printing Processes
A quality product with state-of-the-art security features is not the only priority of ZIN. Since the company’s foundation until the present day, a lot of attention has been paid to all security aspects with the aim of ensuring secure production conditions.
Certification against ISO 14298:2021 – Management of Security Printing Processes at the highest (central bank) security level related to banknote and ID document printing, stands as a confirmation to our customers that we abide by the latest standards in the field of high security printing. This certificate places ZIN in the group of most renowned global producers in the industry.
Strict regimes of security measures permeate all segments of ZIN and they cover the security of buildings and production areas, control of employees and visitors, confidential procurement of raw material, secure information flow, control of waste, key management, CCTV usage, etc.
Thanks to highly sophisticated systems of technical security, modern production equipment and highly trained and motivated staff, ZIN is able to meet all applicable security requirements.
ISO 27001 – Information Security Management System
The security of products and processes in the area of security printing has been expanded to incorporate the entire information system of ZIN. Certificate of implementation of ISO 27001:2013 – Information Security Management System requirements affirms the success achieved in the field of comprehensive information protection.
As the Standard stipulates, the Information Security Management System maintains information confidentiality, integrity, and availability by applying the risk management process, thus instilling confidence in all interested parties.
Our goal is to efficiently manage the information system and, by continually improving, to ensure satisfaction and confidence of all our partners so that they feel completely secure in every part of the process, from order issuance to the delivery of the desired product. In line with the established mutual trust, we expect their support in the form of accepting and observing our general Information Security Policy, publicly available under “Integrated Management System Policy ”.

ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System
By taking care of all aspects of our business operations, and having in mind that employees are a company’s most important resource, the Institute recognised the need for implementing ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System which would ensure continual improvement in the field. In this sense, our internal acts stipulate procedures that clearly define employee responsibilities concerning occupational health and safety. We plan our activities accordingly and constantly set new goals and analyse the achieved ones.
ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System requirements have been integrated into all business processes of the Institute and the acquired certificate has certainly contributed to the rise in employee satisfaction and improvement of the general image and reputation of our organisation.
Even before becoming certified, the Institute performed its business operations in line with regulations governing occupational health and safety. Workplace conditions are assessed pursuant to the Act on Workplace and Working Environment Risk Assessment resulting in establishing actions for reducing or eliminating identified risks. In accordance with the adopted Act, all stipulated measures are applied to ensure healthy and safe work processes and working environment.
UnionPay
In 2020, ZIN met the requirements of the UnionPay payment system and got certified for card production and personalisation, covering the following activities:
- Card production
- Magnetic stripe card personalisation
- Chip embedding
- Electronic card personalisation
CERTIFICATES OF VISA AND MASTERCARD INTERNATIONAL PAYMENT CARD SYSTEMS
ZIN meets all the requirements of VISA and MasterCard payment systems in accordance with PCI Card Production and Provisioning Logical Security Requirements, which is confirmed by the following certificates:
- VISA International (available on the official VISA website – Global Registry of Service Providers),
- МasterCard Card Quality Management (CQM) Statement of Quality,
- MasterCard Global Vendor Certification Program – Certificate of Compliance
The compliance of procedures and process flows with the mentioned requirements is audited annually through inspections of certification bodies authorised by VISA and MasterCard payment systems. All of the above makes ZIN the only company in Serbia that provides VISA and MasterCard payment card production and personalisation services to banks from all over the world.
